#167 add initial load state to secret list

This is part of case 3 in #167 (closed).

The styling work had already been done, but it was axed at some point because, if memory serves, we didn't have a way to distinguish between "first time loading" and "every other time loading", so you'd get flashes of loading UI at weird times. This time, I saw the firstTimeLoadingComplete variable in the secret list, so I'll assume that that issue was worked out, so I'm exposing the design to the world.
