Display user customization
Some visual parts of MyPhotoShare page can be turned on and off by the user with display options in the menu.
The screen map bellow is for an album view. One must do the same with a media view and a search view...

Questions
-
Can the user tune the display as she would like? Not all combinations of display options are possible, but the most sensible are (but see 5 below).
-
Apart from 3, all other display elements can be turned on or off. Do we want to have 3 visibility turned off by the user? The problem with 3 is that it fights for space with the
[<]
button. Can we put the social icons somewhere else? -
All bold Yes are menu options for actions on multiple visual elements. Non-bold Yes act on single visual elements. Do we want to split the multiple options to single ones so the user can fine-tune the display? Doing it requires to create other menu entries and make the menu more complex.

Problems with naming for menu options acting on multiple elements. If there is a media: or albums: prefix, the user expects that it changes the appearance of only the media or albums thumbnails, but that is not the case presently. I suggest removing the media: or albums: prefix when it makes no sense, for global or multiple actions.
- 2 is supposed to work on media because it's named media: show count. Perhaps rename it only show counts.
- 4 rename to show descriptions.
- 5 rename to show tags.
And the global/multiple actions menu items could be grouped in the menu, so that the user sees there are 3 types of menu entries:
- Global
- Albums
- Media
- There is no way to hide the media filename but keep the media title. Personally, I miss that feature.
Resulting menu
If we keep the multiple action menu entries but if you rename them to have a simpler naming convention, and after reordering of the menu entries, here is the final result:
- Display
- show title
- show descriptions
- show tags
- show counts
- toggle spacing
- albums: show names
- albums: as slides
- albums: square thumbnails
- media: show names
- media: show filename
- media: square thumbnails
