docs: add documentation for commit-based pipelines

Description

This MR adds documentation for existing CI/CD pipelines.

Testing instructions

1. Checkout this branch
2. Setup a virtualenv with mkdocs
3. Run mkdocs serve and navigate to http://127.0.0.1:8000
4. Proofread the changes
