Different behaviour regarding timeouts between v7.08 and v8.05 (with libopenconnect5)
Hello all,
I noticed a strange behaviour while using my VPN connection to the company headquarters: Around 18 to 24 minutes into the session everything stalls. No SSH, VNC or RDP connection responds. Even constant pings or keepalives do not help. But, astonishingly, the VPN session (started via NetworkManager) is shown as active. One need to stop and start it again to regain access to servers at the HQ.
Personally I use openSUSE TumbleWeed with almost daily updates to os and apps. Most VPN sessions are quite short and home office is done three or four times a year. But during one home office day disaster struck.
After some investigations I was able to find out, that friends with openSUSE Leap 15.2 with openconnect 7.08 still enjoy hourslong sessions but me, with openSUSE TumbleWeed and openconnect 8.05 (with libopenconnect5) suffers from these breakdowns.
Hopefully I've gathered enough info in the attached journalctl output that someone can diagnose the culprit. Any hint is appreciated as I was not able to use options like --force-dpd in collaboration with NetworkManager.
Thank you in advance.
