Greentooth disables Bluetooth despite active connection(s)
Hello,
maybe this not an issue at all but rather me misunderstanding the intended functionality:
With my new Mi Band Fitness Tracker I do get occasional disconnects which in turn trigger a Greentooth notification ("Notify before disabling") with the time limit until Bluetooth deactivation that I have set (5mins). The problem I have now is that if the connection is reestablished automatically, Bluetooth will still be shut off. Greentooth seems to fail to detect the successful reconnection of my phone and the fitness tracker.
From the wording of the settings and the "Help" section I was expecting the timer to be cancelled automatically in case of a any Bluetooth connection (new or reestablished). Instead interrupting the timer seems to always require user interaction via the notification. Could you please clarify if this behaviour is indeed a bug or if Greentooth is working as intended?
I'm using a OnePlus 5T with LineageOS 16.0 and microG and the Bluetooth device is the aforementioned Mi Band 5 which I do control via Gadgetbridge.
And thank you for your work!
EDIT:
A little bit of testing has shown that Greentooth simply ignores my Mi Band. The automatic Bluetooth shut-off is even triggered when my Mi Band is connected and I turn off a simultaneously connected Bluetooth headset. I'll try to attach a screen recording later.
EDIT:
I just saw this merge request stating that Greentooth doesn't work (well) with Gadgetbridge. Maybe there's a way to add compatibility with Gadgetbridge?
