Allow markdown to multipart(?)
This is a mabye far-reaching idea. Please feel free to close/delete this issue without comments if this idea does not match mutt’s policies.
I do prefer plain text emails, but sometimes simple HTML mails are handy, e.g. if many long URLs are included.
In order to counter this, I use this macro to convert a markdown plain text email to HTML:
macro compose \; "F pandoc -s -f markdown+smart -t html<enter>y^T^Utext/html; charset=utf-8<enter>"
Following this issue: Wouldn’t it be handy to be able to convert markdown to a multipart email with the original (human readable) markdown code as plain text part.
Yes, I know that multipart emails are possible with Neomutt; but I am faithful to the original which I have been successfully and joyfully using for years.
