[#754] Fix deriveRPCWithStrategy on data with type variables

Description

Problem: during rpc type Rep derivation, variables on the LHS and RHS get disconnected (because lhs gets thrown out)

Solution: replace variables on the rhs by the corresponding variables from the "canonical" lhs.
