Test Interview - Iteration 2
Following the first test interview performed as part of the discovery task, this task iterates to take into account the issues identified during the first interview.
Improvements
- Video recording device: since phones can be of varying quality, we want to try using a cheap 4K camera like the AKASO, which we would ship to the interviewees.
- Better phone holder: the phone holder used wasn't very strong, and would move during the recording due to the weight of the phone (or tablet); we would try a more sturdy one, which would also allow to attach the AKASO camera.
- Lavalier microphone: the AKASO seem to be also have a microUSB connector, so we would try it, using a jack-USB adapter => change for MicroUSB
- In-ear headset
I'm also going to record my own side using OBS's virtual camera feature, to capture my webcam in HD before feeding it to BigBlueButton.
Note: the previous lavalier was missing a micro-USB adapter to be able to use it with Marc's phone.
Questions
This time we will try to do it a bit more "for real", and integrate the outcome in the course itself, with a few more questions asked:
- How did you get involved into FLOSS? Tell the story of your first contribution
- How did you feel? Did you feel shy or fearful?
- What roadblocks did you encounter, if any?
- How is it to do work publicly? To have to put yourself forward, in front of everyone?
- What advantages do you see in being an open source contributor?
- What was your most interesting experience with free/libre/open source software?
