Ticket(s) / Related Merge Requests

minds#3846 (closed)

Summary of Changes

  • Added a new field to the /settings/account/boosted-content page
  • Rearranged order of some of the fields to match designs
  • The 'Minds+' tag is now a link to the plus marketing page, so users can learn/upgrade easily
  • Updated styles to match designs on wide screens
    • changed size and appearance of the 'Minds+' tag next to the 'View Boosted Content' field
    • added 'browser only' tag to the 'Boost auto-rotation' field
    • 'View Boosted Content' field title is greyed out when user is not Minds+
    • updated copy of tooltips as specified in designs
    • capitalized some letters as specified in designs
  • Note: I did NOT update the styles for mobile width screens to match designs - I believe the mobile designs included in Figma are based off of the existing mobile app and matching them would require a settings style overhaul that is out of scope

Developer Testing Completed

Navigate to /settings/account/boosted-content with the epic-303-boost-partners experiment enabled. The first time a user sees the page with the new field, the default 'Controversial' option is selected. Select a different option and save changes. Reload the page to confirm that the new value was saved.

Go to the same page with the experiment disabled. Everything still works as normal.
