Elgg copyright
Hi all.
Minds, if I understand it correctly starts off (at least partially) as a fork of Elgg and it's mentioned that some code is under copyright from the Elgg project. That's, of course, the power of software freedom!
The Elgg framework is dual-licensed under the GPLv2, which is not compatible with the AGPL, and under the MIT license, which is.
The MIT license, however, still has (very mild) requirements. Namely, to retain a copy of all copyright notices and of the text of the license itself.
Now, I do not know what copyright notices Elgg had at the time that Minds used it, but I have been unable to find a copy of the Elgg license in the repository. I suggest to place it somewhere prominent, so that it can be found easily.
As an additional question: Elgg also comes along with a core set of plugins which are not dual-licensed and are available under the GPL 2. Am I correct in guessing that Minds only uses the MIT-licensed framework, not the AGPL plugins?
Thanks in advance.
