The GUI doesn't remember the preferences dialog position when quitting it via the close button
As you know, I've been using the GUI for a long time, and I always remember that I have never had any strange issues regarding the preferences dialog position. But recently there is something very strange with remembering the position.
The GUI doesn't remember the preferences dialog position IF AND ONLY IF you close it via the close button. I recommend you to try to open & close the dialog (only via the close button) several times — five or six. You should be able to see that the preferences dialog changes its position each time after quitting. It's definitely not normal as in the past the GUI always remembered the position set by the user for the first time. As far as I remember, the issue has occurred probably in the version 25.0.0 for the first time, but somehow it did not bother me so much then — probably because I wasn't focused on closing the preferences dialog many times. But with the latest (26.0.0) MKVToolNix version I felt I need to look into it much deeper and now I'm really frustrated due to the dialog which always takes a different position on the screen. To be precise: it rather moves down, not in other directions.
Of course if you close the preferences dialog via the OK or Cancel button, everything will be fine — the fixed position is kept. At least that's how it looks like on my Windows 7 32-bit (I'm using the portable version of the program). Something else I noticed: the preferences dialog can't be maximized — it only works when it is reduced.
I hope you will be able to reproduce it on your machine like I'm able to. If you need more details, just let me know. Thanks.
