my attempts to subscribe to list have failed

to subscribe to the mailman3-users@ list and to take my questions there.

I wasted time trying to subscribe with my principal email address, only to be reminded of the email wars being waged by google and dreamhost.
So I tried again with my gmail account. List traffic is showing up in my gmail inbox, and I have access to the list archives. But my email to the list, pictured in the attachment, never showed up in my inbox. I understand that gmail does not deliver list email to the originating gmail correspondent. But neither do I see this email in the list archives.
I have been distracted these past couple of weeks by an office move. But having settled into the new office, I am eager to get this issue resolved. Can someone please respond to me on this ticket or that one; or help me figure out why my emails are not being accepted on the listserv?
I need a small bit of hand holding on these final steps to get a working browser interface to what appears to be an otherwise successful installation. I have one client that is very eager to see me migrate their legacy lists off an mm2 installation on an under resourced and over priced vm which was built in 2016.
