RAMBo Malfunctions Additional Failures
This is in relation to code ticket T8411. I was asked to breakout the RAMBo issues that we have documented by the type of failure the board encountered, as well as to include a bit of additional information on each individual case. I have added everyone that is subscribed to the other ticket to this one as well to try and keep people in the loop. This ticket includes one especially unusual RAMBo issue with manufacturing as well as failures which were only encountered a single time. Let me know if there is any additional information that would be helpful.
Ticket ID 207,950, RMA13403, Original SO# 114-9153472-0095437. Customer powered their printer on after it having been off for a couple days only to find LCD screen was totally black but power button was still lighting up. We checked his fuses and tried to connect to/flash the board to see if we could get any response from it with no success. Customer confirmed that they didn’t use anything metallic on nozzle since they hadn’t yet need to clean their nozzle. He did let me know that there were thunderstorms which resulted in a blackout in the time period since his printer was last powered on.
Ticket ID 207,731, RMA13400, Original SO# SO103180. Purchased brand new board and upon install found that several of the pin headers were never installed.
Ticket ID: 205,414, RMA13340, Original SO# SO101789. Customer purchased a new RAMBo and after installing it the part cooling fans on his toolhead no longer ran. He tried swapping connectors to make sure they were plugged in correctly. Also tried testing pins on board and said they weren’t putting out electricity when they should be.
