chore: `.gitlab-ci.yml` [RFC]

Making this PR available for now only for comments. Some tests are failing. I'm using Fedora as base image because is where the test suite should most likely to succeed.

Once the test is working with Fedora, I'll switch the base image to Alpine Linux because it has the least overhead on running the CI cycle.
