Overview Description
Recent macOS arm64 DMGs contain damanged .app bundles
Steps to Reproduce
- Download a few of the latest macOS arm64 DMGs
- Mount DMGs
- Copy LibreWolf.app to /Applications/
- Try launching /Applications/LibreWolf.app
Actual Results
macOS error window pops up with the text: "LibreWolf.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash.
Expected Results
Copying LibreWolf.app to /Applications/ and launching the .app works fine (oddly, I have a back up version of LibreWolf.app elsewhere that still works, reports version 123.0-1
Reproducibility
Tested with last 3 macOS arm64 DMGs, tried opening application through Finder and also through command-line execution. It seems to happen always with these most recent builds.
