HSMC Card Connector Models

This pull request adds FreeCAD models for the Samtec ASP-122952-01 and QTH-090-01-x-D-A connectors used in the Altera HSMC card specification. Both models are very heavily modified versions of the QTH-090-01-L-D-A STEP file generated on the Samtec website:

  • Cutouts were added for pins in the connector body to avoid collisions
  • Each pin is modeled as a separate solid (in Samtec's model, each bank of pins is part of a single piece)
  • Materials were assigned

Issues:

  • The models are complicated enough that FreeCAD slows down significantly, especially when editing pins.
  • Since both models were adapted from a STEP file, edits can be difficult.
  • There may be a licensing issue, though I doubt it due to the number of modifications I made.
