Draft: Potentiometers Alps RSA0N

I would like to submit footprints for the family of four potentiometers from this datasheet:

I still need to fill in metadata etc., and I would draw the other three once the first one gets approved, but here's my list of questions:

  • There are nice generic existing symbols for a potentiometer which would be really helpful to use, but that requires somewhat unconventional pin numbering. (It also requires unconventional numbering to just stick to the numbers engraved into the part.) On the object itself the contacts are numbered 1, 2, 3, 1', 2', 3' (where 1' is equal to pin 4 in the existing KiCad symbol). Would keeping such pin numbering be acceptable? Any other suggestions?
  • How do I determine the most reasonable outer diameter for solder pads?
  • I would like to create mounting holes without the need to add the mounting holes to the symbol itself, but I don't know how that is supposed to be done in the correct way.
  • Product page is here, but I don't know where to locate the correct datasheet (I only know where to find it from a distributor).
