wishlist: adjustable layer draw order or a better default
Description
Right now, the layer order is fixed. Copper layers are way above text layers in rendering.
While there's nothing immediately wrong about this. The problem is one of the most valuable pieces of information, the reference designator is buried down the list on the silk layers and requires manually selecting to make the reference designators visible on the top copper.
Instead of being to visually see an immediate hint of a component, you are forced to click on the footprint to select it (and possibly fight the disambugiation system) OR click to the silk layer and then click back to your top layer :/ Even more important is when I'm trying to move components and vias to avoid silkscreen and vice versa. Currently it's only easy to move silkscreen around other items, not vice versa without all the extra layer switching
