Project manager : No keyboard shortcuts work

In 5.99 nightly, in the project manager window, no shortcut work (Crtl-P to open Pcbnew etc.). I even tried to modify them in the preferences dialog (they are correctly listed), but still no joy. Even F3 to refresh doesn't work.
