Support for asymmetric board stackups such as Insulated Metal Substrate
Feature Request
I want to be able to make 3D renders and export STEP for PCBs with a very asymmetric stackup. For example a single sided IMS board from the low cost Chinese vendors is a single copper layer, 0.1" dielectric and 1.5mm aluminium base. The V8 stackup editor does not allow this structure and experiments with hand editing the PCB file don't work. Kicad seems to assume even numbers of layers and alternating copper/other.
This type of board has recently become common for heatsinking LED arrays and automotive power electronics.
