minimum width of appearance panel: unnecessary wide

Description

The appearance panel in the Footprint editor seems to contain two values for minimum-width:

  • minimum width during work
  • minimum width at startup of FP-editor

These minimum-values are:

  • not identical
  • much bigger than in kicad v6 --> this leads to a unnessary wide appearance panel at startup as well as during work in the footprint editor

Steps to reproduce

  1. start kicad
  2. open footprint-editor from kicad-manager
  3. notice width of appearance-panel: very wide (see picture 3)
  4. drag appearance panel to the smallest allowed width (see pic 4).
  5. compare this situation with same situation of kicad v6 (compare pic2 <--> pic4): v7 needs much more screen estate for appearance panel
  6. close FP-editor
  7. reopen FP-editor
  8. now the appearance-panel has again a big width (see pic3), on every FP-editor startup it's necessary to manually shrink the appearance panel to the smallest available width (and even that is wider than v6)
