STEP file color and opacity issues KiCad 3D viewer
Description
I have created a simple model in Fusion 360 and exported it as a STEP file.
Expected behaviour:
It SHOULD look something like this:
Current behaviour:
If I import it to 3d viewer and have the opacity at 100, it looks like this (wrong colors, should be black and gold, not gray):
If I set opacity to 99, it looks like this (correct colors but wrong opacity, there should be no transparency at all, all should be opaque):
The actual STEP file used
Steps to reproduce (no pun intended)
- Create a model in Fusion 360.
- Assign basically any default black material using Appearance tool. The result was always the same no matter which material I chose.
- Export the model as a step file
- Import the step file into KiCad 7.0.0 as a 3d Model for a footprint
- Play with the Opacity slider in Footprint editor -> Footprint properties -> 3d Models
I'll provide more info if missing anything. I don't know if the commits below have fixed this issue:
