General compability with gvfs
Description
gvfs is the Gnome virtual file system what comes as default for Ubuntu using the Gnome Desktop. Kicad fails writing any file to a smb (V2) network share.
Steps to reproduce
- Take any default Ubuntu installation using Gnome Desktop and Nautilus File manager
- Mount a smb network drive using Nautilus "other locations"->"connect to server"
- A network share will appear with proper R/W permissions
- Copy any Kicad project to the network share
- Open the Kicad project and make any changes to save
- The file write fails for (known?) problems with gvfs
Workaround
If the network drive is mount using cifs instead gvfs, there is no problem with same version, files and hardware. Therefore I assume any compability issues with gvfs or bug in gvfs itself.
