KICAD6_TEMPLATE_DIR incorrect on KiCad 6 fresh install
Description
On a fresh full install of KiCad 6, when opening a first project, the option to copy the default global symbol library is disabled:
It appears this is because the KICAD6_TEMPLATE_DIR value is incorrect:
The path (Correction: the path does exist, as the C:\Users\rob\Documents\kicad\template\
does not exist.KICAD_USER_TEMPLATEDIR
from a KiCad 5.1 install.) Similar to other paths, the template dir should be C:\Program FIles\Kicad\6.0\share\kicad\template
.
Manually correcting the variable to that path seems to resolve the issue.
If choosing one of the other two options for a global symbol library table, the same issue occurs with the footprint library table.
I suspect this may also be the cause of issues #10061 (closed) and #10102 (closed).
Steps to reproduce
- Perform a fresh install of KiCad 6.0.
- On first launch, choose option to use default preferences.
- Create a project and attempt to open it.
Expected: option to copy the default library table is available.
Actual: option is disabled.
