Founder of CalcFi — free personal-finance calculators with Wikipedia-style citations. Based in Helsinki, Finland.
What I do
I build CalcFi — a free personal-finance calculator platform where every formula traces to a primary public source: IRS publications, Federal Reserve series (FRED), Treasury yield tables, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Freddie Mac PMMS, the World Bank, FDIC, and EIA. The site hosts more than 300 calculators across tax, mortgage, retirement, paycheck, debt, real-estate, investing, and small-business categories. No paid tier. No "Expert Reviewed" badges. Just the math, the source, and the work shown.
The data layer powering CalcFi is the CalcFi Open Data project — 34 financial and macroeconomic time series, 117,956 observations covering ~1947 through 2026, distributed under CC BY 4.0 with five permanent DOIs.
