Customize the priority and grouping of movable widgets in the toolbar
Calling for assistance from UX/UI designers to aid in customizing movable widget groups within the tool toolbars, including their priorities and the number of widgets to move in and out of each group.
The recent merge request (inkscape!6259 (merged)) now allows for easy management of movable toolbar children by simply adjusting UI files. This new customization feature offers:
- Marking a child as movable by adding the priority style class to the child. Children with the same priority class are grouped together within the same popover.
- The priority determines the order in which movable groups start moving widgets into the popover when the toolbar shrinks. This follows a Last In, First Out (LIFO) order.
- The ability to specify how many widgets per menu button move in and out of the popover at once by adding the groupsize style class to any child in a movable group. This is optional, with the default value set to 1. If multiple widgets within the same popover group have the groupsize class, the value set by the last child with this class will be used.
