Unable to decompress tar ball on encrypted systems
Steps to reproduce:
- Work on a machine with an encrypted file system.
- Decompress the source tar ball of Inkscape from the main website - https://inkscape.org/gallery/item/42328/inkscape-1.3.tar.xz.
What happened?
The decompression will fail due to a file name being too long - "/share/extentions/test/data/refs/render_barcode_qrcode__--text__Blue__Front__Yard__--typenumber__3__--correctionlevel__1__--modulesize__10__--drawtype__smooth__--smoothness__greedy.out"
It seems compression adds data to file names which can make long file names even longer and in fact 'too long'.
What should have happened?
The archive should have decompressed completely.
Inkscape Version and Operating System:
- Inkscape Version: 1.3
- Operating System: LinuxMint
- Operating System version: 21.2
