1.2.x, master freeze opening this PDF file (Poppler mode)
Appimage: When open this PDF in Poppler mode inkscape freeze. Inkscape 1.1 open OK.
Steps to replicate
- Open 00-Conferencia_18-19_mayo.pdf in Inkscape
- Select poppler/cairo mode
Alternatively, inkscape --pdf-poppler --export-type=svg 00-Conferencia_18-19_mayo.pdf
, then try to open the output file in Inkscape
What happened?
- Freeze
- If you're on Linux and using a version of Inkscape that uses an older version of cairo (and possibly other dependencies?), you're unaffected as the import creates a very different file
- however if you open the svg produced in CLI mode from the appimage, you can still freeze.
On file creation we get the following warning ** (org.inkscape.Inkscape:3137147): WARNING **: 04:10:44.375: SVG element URI was not found in the document while loading this: #compositing-group-44
36 times
On freeze, we get

What should have happened?
- Inkscape handles the file without freezing
