1.3.1 - Cannot open files from file explorer or terminal (Snap)
Summary:
I cannot open files in Inkscape using GNOME Files (Nautilus). When I right click an svg and press "Open With" and select Inkscape, I get a loading spinner but nothing opens.
If I try from terminal, it also fails:
kevin@kevinbuntu:~$ ls ~/test.svg
/home/kevin/test.svg
kevin@kevinbuntu:~$ inkscape ~/test.svg
ink_file_open: '/home/kevin/test.svg' cannot be opened!
InkscapeApplication::document_open: Failed to open: /home/kevin/test.svg
ConcreteInkscapeApplication::on_open: failed to create document!
kevin@kevinbuntu:~$ inkscape $PWD/test.svg
ink_file_open: '/home/kevin/test.svg' cannot be opened!
InkscapeApplication::document_open: Failed to open: /home/kevin/test.svg
ConcreteInkscapeApplication::on_open: failed to create document!
kevin@kevinbuntu:~$
However, I can open the files using the open dialog after opening Inkscape through the application launcher.
Steps to reproduce:
- select an svg file in file manager
- try opening it with Inkscape
- nothing happens
What happened?
Nothing happens when I open from the file manager.
What should have happened?
The file should've opened.
