Inkscape Window-Fight and Crash
Summary:
Opening two windows and viewing document properties cause the windows to fight to be the top window and eventually crash or lockup.
Steps to reproduce:
Have provided two test files. .... test5.svg and test6.svg
- Start inkscape
- Open test5.svg
- Open test6.svg .. offset 2nd window a bit so you can see both
- File/Document Properties (from either window)
What happened?
-
Windows fight - to be on top.
-
Properties doc is blank
-
If you close properties dialog using [x] in top right hand corner - it closes and screens stabilizes
-
If you attempt to move the properties dialog then system completely locks up - if you wait long enough inkscape will crash or stop responding so that windows reports standard "stopped responding" click to exit or wait.
-
Or in one case a stack dump - definitely related but haven't been able to regenerate the stack dump.
What should have happened?!
- None of the above
- Two files are attached - basically blank, (but bug does not show if two new files are created, so something in these files)
- Either of the test files can be manipulated independently and have Doc Props viewed ok.

- use multi-line code block - triple backticks (```) to fence/enclose console logs
- attach long logs as a text file.
