Clarify purpose of RDF metadata defaults or remove them
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape
What happened?
Default SVG file has
<metadata>
<rdf:RDF>
<cc:Work rdf:about="">
<dc:format>image/svg+xml</dc:format>
<dc:type rdf:resource="http://purl.org/dc/dcmitype/StillImage" />
</cc:Work>
</rdf:RDF>
</metadata>
These values are hard-coded in two places:
What should have happened?
- These entries look useless too me
-
format
andtype
can't be changed with the Metadata (Document Properties) dialog - if they are constant values, they obviously have no information content. - IMHO, an empty default document should not have a
<metadata>
node, unless the user creates a customdefault.svg
with such data.
Inkscape Version and Operating System:
- Inkscape Version:
Inkscape 1.1-dev (7164e93e3c, 2020-04-11, custom)
- Operating System: Arch Linux
