Hi @20DM,

2.70 and 2.71 are not yet widely adopted. Even RHEL9/EPEL9 has 2.69 and that is considered "a future platform for HEP". Realistically 2.69 would be enough here, but 2.65 is "just in case".

And yes, autoconf unfortunately is needed more often than one would like.
