LHCB_2021_I1913240: charged particle production in pPb at 5 TeV
Please, consider for release the following plugin.
I attached the YODA1 filesLb-2021-I1913240-yoda1.zip were used in the original validation against RIVET 3.1 series and accepted by the collaboration internally. The pPb events were obtained from pp interactions at 5 TeV c.o.m. energy subsequently scaled by the Pb mass number (since the file name is a bit confusing I asked again the authors if they actually used the EPOS-LHC model - my guess they just copy-pasted the phrase about the MC samples used in validation, I'll comment when I have the clear answer). Any way to validate the plugin independently minbias from EPOS-LHC and Pythia8 can be used since no flavour is measured here.
I modified the original code to accomodate the changes in RIVET 4 and especially the Histo1DGroup class replacing BinnedHistogram. Also the plugin should now be re-entrant and was marked accordingly. However, the development I personally contributed with, the associated Python script for computing the R_pPb nuclear factor modification gave me trouble to move it in the finalize method and expert help would be welcome to finish the code there in order to get rid of this external script.
The associated .yoda file is in YODA2 format as exported by HEPData.net.
