Dynamic libraries still need to be installed to be located at runtime, but this setup at least allows the programs to be
built prior to installation.

This is convenient and safer since the parentheses are used inside macros to avoid repeating the same boilerplate again
and again.

Mostly pessimizing std::move() for local objects, but also replaced use of new in a couple spots.

This commit fixes namespace issues encountered when using std::optional.
