Fix detection of minimal GPU-aware MPI status

Mark Abraham requested to merge gpuAwareMpi_fixHandlingWithDevicesWithMultipleBackends into main

In some cases incompatible or non-preferred devices can be detected. Those won't be used, but should also not contribute to the detection of whether the compatible devices support GPU-aware MPI.
