Convert changelog to markdown

Magnus Jacobsson requested to merge magjac/graphviz:convert-changelog-to-markdown into master

The new changelog is CHANGELOG.md with all contents moved in from the old ChangeLog which is now just a pointer to CHANGELOG.md (since automake requires it to exist). The latest release notes have been converted to Markdown, the older ones are left as is in plain text.
