Canonicalize URLs to not contain "/_pages/"
Many Graphviz URLs are available in both a /_pages/foo.html
and /foo.html
format. We should standardize/canonicalize on the latter format, as it's less tied to the implementation details of Jekyll.
It'll be good for google-juice to have one canonical copy of the site.
After making sure that all URLs are accessible without the _pages
, we should consider removing them from the website, optionally redirecting to the new place, so that only the base URLs are available.
Reducing the URL space is a bit fraught (cool URLs don't die). At any rate, the first step is to stop referring to _pages/
URLs in links within the docs.
