Window vertically off-screen when OSX dock hiding is enabled
- Build 2.1.4
- OSX 10.11.3
- com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
I got a very similar setup to #2291 (closed) (keystroke to show, top of the screen and lots of rows, so the window always expands vertically – AKA "quake-like terminal").
My dock is positioned to the bottom of the screen, auto-hide on. I also enabled "Automatically hide and show the menu bar" in OSX Preferences > General. So both OSX dock and menu are invisible when I work to save space.
Now the problem: The thing is that iTerm does not go well with OSX auto-hiding features that I enabled. When I start the terminal and show it using the keystroke, it's vertically off the screen, which makes some portion of terminal output impossible to read and access. When I disable dock auto-hide, the terminal updates its geometry and is displayed correctly even if I re–enable dock auto-hide again. So my clue is that there's something wrong with geometry setup at the start of the program.
The expected behaviour is that the terminal is always 100% screen height (i.e. not 110%) regardless of dock/menu hiding in OSX.
I recorded a screencast, which I hope will be helpful. I can provide additional feedback if needed.
Thanks!
