iTerm should automatically resize to screen height when screen size is increased

My iTerm settings are:
- Window is attached to top of the screen
- Hotkey toggles window show/hide
- Number of rows is set to 10000 to make window use all of screen height
(see settings screenshots in attachment)
Sometimes I am using a monitor with my laptop and it has greatly higher screen resolution. I am connecting monitor using Thunderbolt-DVI adapter when my laptop is closed, so I am getting only one screen at a time.
Problem:
When I start iTerm on monitor (1920x1200) and then switch to laptop screen (1280x800), iTerm correctly adjusts to new height by decreasing row count.
But when I start iTerm on laptop screen (1280x800) and then switch to monitor (1920x1200), iTerm height remains unchanged, so it takes only half of the screen.
Feature request:
When screen height is increased and iTerm works in "top of the screen" mode iTerm should set it's height to the same as what it would be if it was just started on this screen. It should be maximum possible number or rows that is not higher than number of rows set in configuration.
This is the only problem that stops me from switching from TotalTerminal to iTerm. Please implement it, it must be really easy to do.
