A debug log is very helpful in diagnosing many problems in iTerm2. Please include one in your issue report! The steps are:
- It is helpful to close any iTerm2 windows that aren't involved in the problem.
- Open the "iTerm2" menu
- Select "Toggle Debug Logging"
- Reproduce the issue.
- Select "Toggle debug logging" a second time. The logs will be saved to disk at this point.
- Attach /tmp/debuglog.txt to your issue.
Please avoid doing unnecessary operations while logging is on. The logs are big and it can be hard to analyze if there's a lot happening.
