⌘E⌘G find not working as expected
Bug report
- iTerm2 version: 3.4.8
- OS version: macOS 11.6
- Attach plist: √ com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
- do not have a search window open (i.e. no ⌘F mini window)
- in an iTerm window, do
ls -l
to get some text - double click e.g. one of the month words to highlight and then do ⌘E
- then ⌘G to see all the matching finds and advance to each (which works at this point)
- do
ls -l
again - do ⌘G again
What happened
The matching words from the initial ⌘E⌘G remain highlighted but the new matching words from the second ls -l
is not when they appear.
Furthermore , if the same word is double clicked to select again (with ⌘F Find window still closed), ⌘E⌘G still does not pick up the new matching text. But selecting a different word and then ⌘E⌘G does include the new text in the search.
What should have happened
New text should be included in matches when it appears on the screen as it does if the ⌘F Find mini window is left open and the search keyword is typed in.
