Default smart selection rules match parenthesis after URL
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.9
- OS version: 10.14.16
The default smart selection rules match parentheses after URLs. E.g. if I double-click (https://example.com/foo)
, with "Double-click performs smart selection enabled", it matches https://example.com/foo)
. So I wonder if it might make sense to remove \(\)
from the "HTTP URL" rule. I'm aware that parentheses are legal in URLs, but in my experience, it happens more often that tools print out parenthesized URLs than URLs containing parentheses. In any case, undermatching is easier to rectify (by dragging the mouse curser further) than overmatching.
Alternatively, perhaps there's a way to match parentheses inside of URLs only if the http
string is not preceded by (
.
