After reconnecting to a et + tmux CC session in hotkey window, tmux panels don't resize larger than hotkey window size on built-in monitor
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.7 (maybe earlier) through 3.3.9
- OS version: 10.14.6
- Attach here (drag-drop from finder into this window): com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Attach a debug log, if possible: itermdebug.7z
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem: 0. Make an external monitor primary in MacOS.
- Open a hotkey iTerm window. Position it on an external monitor of a MacBook.
-
et
(EternalTerminal) to another host, and run tmux -CC there. - Power off your external monitor, then the MacBook (or maybe simply quit iTerm).
- Re-run iTerm with external monitor connected.
-
et
to that host again. - run
tmux -CC a -t 0
What should have happened:
The session is restored. It takes the whole iTerm window.
What happened:
The session is restored. It takes the amount of space that iTerm would take on MacBook's built-in display.
If I resize the window, the tmux panels can get SMALLER, but they never get bigger than iTerm would be on the MacBook's built-in display. It's quite uncomfortable, because it cannot utilize the screen space of the external monitor.
