Inline image protocol not working
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.8beta5
- OS version: 10.14.6
- Attachcom.googlecode.iterm2.plist/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)
- Attach a debug log, if possible. Instructions at https://iterm2.com/debuglog
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open item2 and install the shell integration (including sourcing the script in ~/.bash_profile).
- Type
imgcat path/to/image.png
What happened: the base 64 version of the image is printed in the terminal, without any preamble or postamble.
What should have happened: the image itself should have been rendered in the terminal.
I also tried to invoke the inline image protocol manually, with the same result as for imgcat. However I'm not confident my command was actually correct ;)
$ printf "\e]1337;File=inline=1:$(base64 -i /path/to/image.png)\a"
