Coprocess via key binding runs slowly
I have a coprocess bound to a key binding. The key binding is just command+uparrow on a Mac, nothing fancy. Here is my setup:
When I run the key binding it sort of works, but it's very slow.
When I run the command directly: tail -n 1 ~/my_bash_history
then it's very fast.
So why is the key binding slow? Is it running something else behind the scenes? Maybe there is a better way to run a custom command upon a keystroke other than coprocess?
