Keep unlimited scrollback from eating all the ram
People often enable unlimited scrollback and then come to regret that choice. It seems to me that we should just flush the old stuff to disk after it reaches some point and add a truncation warning. For one thing, because line numbers are stored in a signed 32 bit int, the bound can't exceed 2^31. See comment in #6952 (closed).
