Support PCF or BDF bitmapped fonts directly even though OS/X doesn't
- iTerm2 version: Build 3.2.8
- OS version: 10.14.3
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window) No need this isn't a bug
- Attach a debug log, if possible. Instructions at https://iterm2.com/debuglog No need this isn't a bug
- Are you reporting a performance issue, excessive CPU usage, or a hang? Please attach a sample. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/HowToSample None of these either
- Are you reporting a crash? Please attach the crash log. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/crash-logs
- Are you reporting excessive memory usage? Please attach a heap analysis: https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/heapshot
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Look for custom PCF bitmap font support as per https://sourceforge.net/p/iterm/feature-requests/778/
- Fail to find it.
- Feel sad because XQuartz windows lose focus constantly and you don't want to go back to xterm because of it.
What happened:
What should have happened:
- Look for custom font support. Find it can read .pcf files directly even though the system can't. Be joyful and drop xquartz because it has stupid window focus issues that have been around for piles of years.
