Feature request: persistent/CFEqual AXUIElements
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: com.googlecode.iterm2.plist3.2.2
- OS version: 10.13.6 (17G65)
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open an iTerm tab/window
- Launch Accessibility Inspector from XCode
- Launch XCode
- Menu Bar -> XCode -> Open Developer Tool -> Accessibility Inspector
- click "Start inspection follows point" (crosshairs) in Accessibility Inspector (or option+space)
- click inside the iTerm shell
- create a new iTerm tab
- click back to original tab
- click tiny arrow in circle next to "shell [PTYTextView]" in "Hierarchy" in Accessibility Inspector
What happened: big horrible green box disappears
What should have happened: big horrible green box reappears matching the original tab's position
Other things which work in Terminal.app and TextEdit.app: • dragging a tab out of a window, creating a new window • dragging a tab from one window to another
In these cases the accessibility framework is still able to track the tab to which we have a reference.
