Switch tab shortcut do not work

Hello, I have a problem with the shortcut to switch tab (CMD+Number). The shortcut is set on preferences -> keys but nothing happen (it worked before).

• iTerm2 version: Build 3.2.1
• OS version:10.13.6 (17G2307)
• Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
• Debuglog: debuglog.txt

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem: 1.Open 2 tabs 2. Press CMD+2 (from tab 1) 3. Nothing happen

What happened: When pressing the shortcut for switching from tab a tab to another, nothing happen.

What should have happened: It should go the the tab number NumberX pressed in the command CMD + NumberX

What can I do ? Thank

Dumb question, are you sure you opened new tab, and not split the window. The latter uses Opt+number to navigate them.

Also suggest you check Preferences > Keys > Navigation Shortcuts and make sure "To switch tabs" is set to Cmd.

(Working as expected for me, v3.2.1beta6 on 10.14.)

I am using Build 3.2.1beta6 and it works fine for me, I cant seem to reproduce this error.

You can see on the screenshot that the shortcut appear.

Edit: It's not working for me with Build 3.2.1beta6 too.

I was able to reproduce the bug on my side. It seems that it only affects users with a French keyboard layout. I tried switching to an american layout and the shortcut worked.

I can confirm the bug also happens with a Belgian keyboard layout. Something that caught my eye is that unlike the American layout, both French and Belgian layouts require a modifier key for numbers on the alphanumeric row.

If your keyboard requires opt+number to press a number, the new default behavior is for that always to send a number. If you'd prefer for it to switch tabs you must enable Prefs > Advanced > On keyboards that require a modifier to press a digit, do not require that modifier for switching between windows, tabs, and panes by number..

After looking at this again I see that the setting is misnamed. What it actually does is to treat the key that produces the number as though it were an English keyboard.

I'm changing this for 3.2.3. There's a new checkbox in Prefs>Keys to emulate a US keyboard which was the previous default:
