iTerm 2 crash with multiple hot-key windows
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
-
iTerm2 version: 3.1.6
-
OS version: macOS High Sierra 10.13.4
-
~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist: com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
-
Debug log is proving difficult to get. Will update with it if I manage to find a consistent way to get this to fail.

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Create a set of hotkey windows (I have several ctrl+space, ctrl+4-6, ctrl+shift+d, ctrl+shift+l,...) with ssh login at start (managing several vms)
- Open regular iterm window, open hotkey window, tab back to another window, open hotkey window again.
- Crash.
What happened: iTerm crashed on opening a hotkey window. This doesn't happen consistently.
What should have happened: iTerm should not have quit.
This has happened a couple times now. Hoping that the crash logs help. The issue is not easy to reproduce so it isn't easy to get a debug.txt. If I manage to capture it I'll update this issue. This issue has only occurred since I updated to 3.1.6.
